Our Vision for Admissions
At the Parvis Goldman Institute of Art, we believe that an admissions process should be more than a simple review of grades and test scores. It is a holistic evaluation designed to identify individuals who possess not only academic potential but also a passion for learning, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to making a positive impact on the world. We seek students who are intellectually curious, creatively daring, and driven to challenge conventional wisdom. Our admissions team carefully considers each application, looking for evidence of a unique perspective and a readiness to contribute to our vibrant and diverse community.
The Application Process
The application process for all programmes—High School, Undergraduate, and Postgraduate—is conducted online through our dedicated portal. We require a comprehensive set of documents to ensure a thorough evaluation. For all applicants, this includes academic transcripts, a personal statement, and letters of recommendation. The personal statement is a critical component of your application; it is your opportunity to tell us your story, to articulate your academic and career aspirations, and to explain how your unique experiences have prepared you for a PGIA education. For undergraduate and postgraduate applicants, a portfolio of work (if applicable) and a resume are also required. We encourage you to be authentic and genuine in your application; we want to get to know the real you.
Selection Criteria
Our selection criteria are multifaceted, designed to assess a wide range of skills and attributes. We look for strong academic performance as a baseline, but we also place significant emphasis on evidence of intellectual curiosity and a genuine passion for your chosen field. We review your personal statement and letters of recommendation to gain insight into your character, motivation, and potential for growth. For high school applicants, we consider extracurricular activities and leadership experience as indicators of a well-rounded personality. For postgraduate applicants, we look for a clear sense of professional direction and a demonstrated ability to engage in independent research. We are committed to a transparent and fair admissions process, and we encourage applicants from all backgrounds to apply. We believe that a diverse student body is the foundation of a great educational institution.
Scholarships and Financial Aid
We are dedicated to ensuring that a PGIA education is accessible to talented students regardless of their financial background. We offer a comprehensive range of scholarships and financial aid options, including merit-based scholarships, need-based grants, and student loans. Our financial aid team is available to guide you through the application process and help you understand your options. We encourage all applicants to explore these opportunities, as our goal is to build a community of exceptional individuals who will thrive at our institution.
